Mali and Thamani by Paint-Puff Mali and Thamani by Paint-Puff
So I mentioned I might be making a Lion King comic... if I do go ahead with it (at this point, yes, I will) then I want to practise drawing more lions. So here is Mali (tan/beige cub) who I've draw before, I've just adjusted a few of her colours, and Thamani (grey/brown cub). They are two of the main characters I've developed for the comic. Also I tried a new shading technique, let me know what you think!

For those who are interested :
Mali means 'small' (Thai) or 'belong' (Swahili)
Thamani means 'worth' or 'value' (Swahili)

All my characters have specific names that reflect either a characteristic or a struggle they'll have in the comic. I like it when names have a deeper meaning :D (Big Grin)

Also if anyone has tips for drawing lion anatomy or backgrounds it would be much appreciated! Backgrounds especially, as they are something I'm struggling with a little Sweating a little...
